Rebranding, Logo Radiates Warmth and Simplicity, a Beacon of Hope
July 29, 2024
After more than 35 years, we are excited to unveil a complete rebrand featuring a new logo.
Since 1988, we have featured an icon symbolizing our dedication to providing nutritious food to
the hungry. Over the past three-and-a-half decades, our mission has expanded to address not
just hunger, but also the underlying causes of food insecurity by providing additional resources
and solutions.
“We began construction on our new campus nine months ago, and once completed, will allow
us to double, and in some cases triple, the amount of food we can process and distribute,” said
Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center Board President Lory Olsson. “We will also have room
to offer classes, seminars, and counseling, as well as expanded collaboration with social service
providers, offering them an opportunity to deliver their services in our community.
“This has inspired us to rebrand and embrace a promising future for our community,” Olsson
concluded.
The new logo, designed by Bridgette Balmes of Merch Market Media, an Arizona-based
merchandise and branding agency, radiates warmth and simplicity and stands as a beacon of
strength. “When we visited the food bank, we knew right away that we wanted to support their
work,” Balmes said. “When we heard that they were looking to refresh and rebrand their
decades-old logo, we immediately offered to provide a new design pro bono so they could
continue to allocate their marketing budget to community programs.”
“Keeping the spirit of the original logo, we aimed to create a classic yet modern look to carry
them into their next chapter,” she concluded. “We are honored to be part of this rebranding and
cannot wait to see it out in the world!”
New signage and other assets will be rolled out on August 1, 2024. Replenishing materials and
signage will be completed as needed to reduce costs and waste.
