Good Shepherd of the Hills Have Faith Challenge
Good Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church has stepped forward in a powerful way to support families in our community.
Leadership Gift from Good Shepherd: $30,000
Community Goal: $200,000
The church’s leadership gift launches a community-wide Have Faith Challenge, inviting other churches, faith communities, and neighbors to come together to help ensure families have access to nutritious food and essential resources.
“We have seen an increase in need, especially through Good Shepherd’s Gold Mine Thrift Shop. By working together, we thought we could help restore hope and faith to many and bring a little light into the world.”
— Rev. Kim Litsey, Rector, Good Shepherd of the Hills Episcopal Church

Foothills Food Bank Executive Director Leigh Zydonik and Rev. Kim Litsey

Who This Challenge Supports
-
Children and families facing food insecurity
-
Seniors on fixed incomes
-
Working families struggling with rising costs
-
Single parents and individuals facing job loss, illness, or unexpected expenses
-
Many neighbors visiting the food bank for the first time
Why This Challenge Matters Now
-
Since September 2025, visits to Foothills Food Bank pantries have increased by 30%
-
During the same time, food donations have increased by only 7%
-
This growing gap makes it harder to keep shelves stocked for families who need help

We are grateful to every church, organization, and individual who chooses to be part of this challenge and help ensure no neighbor faces hunger alone.
Together, we can turn faith into action and hope into help.
