ABOUT THE ARTIST: I have always been attracted to contemporary art, especially paintings. The use of color, the use of space, the way a mood or feeling could be evoked without easily recognizable images drew me in time and time again. I seek inspiration from these painters as well as from the world around us. As my husband and I travel, my photos of the extraordinary natural world around us, as well as man made wonders, inspire me in my quilting. I like to throw in unexpected pops of color to add interest to my quilts. I use commercial and hand dyed fabrics in my pieces, and simple quilting lines to enhance the shapes I have pieced together.
