The Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center will benefit from Arizona Gives Day, a powerful 24-hour online giving experience that unites Arizonans around causes they believe in. Arizona Gives Day is April 6, 2021. 


According to Leigh Zydonik, executive director of Foothills Food Bank, the 501c3 organization will join Arizona Gives Day, along with hundreds of other nonprofits from all over the state, on Tuesday, April 6, to raise needed funds. Through, Arizonans will be able to support their favorite nonprofit(s) for exactly 24 hours of virtual giving. Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center needs the community’s assistance. People can do their part by contributing to the food bank on the organization’s website.

“Please consider a charitable donation to Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center for Arizona Gives Day,” says Zydonik. “We have many in the community in need and it is up to all of us to do our part to help. In fact, make a gift of hope to your community through a donation to the Foothills Food Bank and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit when you claim the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit,” adds Zydonik. “Your Arizona Charitable Tax Credit will help feed families and give hope to members of our community. Take charge of your tax dollars. The new Qualified Charitable Organization code for the Foothills Food Bank & Resource Center on income tax returns is 20514.

Arizona Gives Day is an annual giving movement uniting nonprofits big and small, new and established, to celebrate and increase philanthropy through online giving. Since its inception, Arizona Gives Day has raised more than $23 million for non-profits statewide.

Foothills Food Bank and Resource Center provides emergency food, financial assistance and other life necessities and resources to individuals and families in the desert foothills, which encompasses a more than 200-square mile area that includes Black Canyon City, Mayer, Spring Valley, Cordes Lakes, Cave Creek, Carefree, Anthem, Desert Hills, New River, north Scottsdale and north Phoenix.
